Wedding Crasher

So I didn't exactly 'crash' dear Becca's wedding... but I did show up a little early... and with a camera... I had never taken wedding pictures before - or any formal pictures at all. I had started editing photos with the free, online photo editor Picnik (which is sadly closing down this week) and had been getting some positive feedback. I was just starting to toy with the idea about really getting into photography. It just so happens around that time two of my good friends from college, the incredibly sweet and kind-hearted Becca and Tim were getting married.

Canon Power Shot SX150 - I can't believe I shot my first three wedding with this little guy!

I wanted to badly to take some pictures at their wedding and I was so ridiculously nervous about it. I convinced Tony to show up to the church about an hour early so I could ask Becca if she minded if I snapped some pictures. Of course, she said yes - because she is wonderful. Honestly, I don't know if I would be doing wedding photography today if I hadn't started here. Been lucky enough to have friends that supported me and helped me grow. I am so thankful to Becca and Tim for letting me take pictures of them that day!

I wish I could go back in time and shoot it again - with my new equipment, so much more practice...
I think everyone should get remarried every few years? Why not?
I think it is a great excuse to throw a big party and to gather your closest friends and family.

This was also my first bouquet-catching experience!

Becca's brother-in-law, Aaron, was the primary photographer.
This is still one of my favorite captures.
These are some pretty wonderful people!
The lovely Angela and I! My photo composition has definitely improved :)
Angela also had some of the most amazing wedding pictures I have ever seen! If you are looking for a photographer in the Montana area checkout Wandering Albatross Photography!

Becca, Julie, Rachel, Me, & Audrey - all married ladies now!

I also shot ^ Rachel's wedding! Blog post soon to come!
